For Maria Bouvin, the journey toward Ambitionprofile began with a desire to unite knowledge, experience, and people in change. With a background as a lawyer and many years of experience in stress management and leadership development, she has run her own consulting firm, M. Bouvin & Partners, for nine years.
Through her company, Maria offers capacity development for law firms and knowledge-intensive organizations that aim to grow with sustainability, profitability, and balanced leadership. She helps legal and auditing firms, as well as other professional service companies, develop their most important asset – their people.
When she became certified in Ambitionprofile in May 2025, she experienced how valuable the training itself was – both as a knowledge boost and as inspiration.
From law to human development
Maria Bouvin left her legal career about 10 years ago to work with people – primarily as a conversational coach and in stress management for individuals, and later also with training and advising for leaders and management in high-performance environments. Through previous contact with psychologist and organizational consultant Jens Näsström, she became aware of Ambitionprofile.
The training – learning in a safe and inspiring environment
The training proved to be both rewarding and engaging for Maria.
– I had no particular expectations but was truly inspired. It was a fantastic group of HR managers, consultants, and wise individuals. I connected with many people with whom I still exchange ideas.
She describes the setup as dynamic, with a good balance between theory and practice, and space to develop her own style as a facilitator.
– There's a clear structure, but also the freedom to shape the work based on oneself.
Through the Trainers Community, participants gain access to materials, worksheets, personas, and ready-made workshop layouts – while also being encouraged to adapt and combine them in their own way.
From course to practice – pilot with leaders
Shortly after certification, Maria used Ambitionprofile in a pilot project at a law firm she had collaborated closely with. A group of leaders completed the assessment during a two-hour workshop.
– They were already familiar with the research behind it, so we quickly got into open and fruitful conversations. We talked about workload, delegation, feedback – and used the results to create concrete reflections linked to their everyday lives.
Maria found that Ambitionprofile gave the group a language to understand both themselves and each other – and a framework for discussing issues that might otherwise take a long time to approach.
Certification that opens doors – and a tool for holistic development
Today, Maria Bouvin uses Ambitionprofile in coaching, lectures, team development, and leadership training.
– It fits into everything from self-leadership to HR strategies. I often bring it up in sales meetings – and clients quickly become interested. It's concrete, easy to grasp, and simple to build upon in dialogue and development.
She emphasizes that the certification program provides both security, structure, and flexibility.
– You gain research-based knowledge, a clear model, and access to a community of other certified individuals. It's a tool you can start using immediately after the training.
She also sees traveling to Oslo from Sweden for the training as a big plus. – It was truly wonderful to network with so many wise people – to feel that we are there for each other even afterward.
