What is Ambitionprofile?


Ambitionprofile is an innovative, research-based tool that uniquely maps thought patterns related to stress, pressure, demands, and performance – both for individuals and at team and organizational levels.

This is done through a user-friendly, digital assessment. Each individual gains insight into which of the four "personas" they most resemble, and how they score on a few different parameters.

The personas are developed to make it easy to understand and discuss complex reaction patterns that might otherwise be difficult to articulate. Ambitionprofile provides a concrete framework for initiating meaningful conversations.

 

Why was Ambitionprofile created?


Ambitionprofile was born out of deep frustration with the shortcomings of traditional stress management. Despite increased focus and significant investments in welfare programs, courses, and "stress management techniques," mental ill-health and stress-related issues continue to rise in the workplace.

Sick-leave statistics highlight a growing problem, and organizational psychologist Jens Näsström recognized a clear and pressing need for a completely new approach.

What challenges does Ambitionprofile aim to solve?

  • Hidden Burnout: Many struggle silently for long periods before symptoms become apparent. Ambitionprofile is designed to detect these underlying patterns early, often years before full burnout materializes. This is about identifying the "invisible" stress factors that erode employee energy and well-being.
     

  • Focus on cause, not just symptom: Traditional methods often address the symptoms of stress, but rarely its deeper causes. Ambitionprofile delves into psychological factors like perfectionism and performance-based self-esteem – the profound drivers behind many stress-related conditions. Who is behind It?


Ambitionprofile is the result of Jens Näsström's research and deep understanding of the challenges associated with stress and mental ill-health in the workplace.

Ambitionprofile Academy was established to certify internal and external facilitators in the tool, and is run by a dedicated team:
 

  • Jens Näsström is an organizational psychologist, researcher, the Head of Science and Founder of Ambitionprofile and partner in Ambitionprofile Academy. For over two decades, he has specialized in the psychology of ambition, performance, and stress, advising leaders and HR professionals.
     

  • Målfrid J. Ågotnes, Trainer and Partner at Ambitionprofile Academy. She is educated in Gestalt therapy, relational leadership, and performance leadership, with specialized expertise in facilitation.
     

  • Magnus Sundquist, partner in Ambitionprofile Academy and responsible for trainers relations, sales, and administration. He has extensive experience from high-performing professional environments.
